Needle felted roving was used for the base of this piece. Nuno felted pieces were then used to construct the mounds, sewn yarn pieces were added to form the blanket of texture in a variety of colors and types, mohair curls were felted into place, and beadwork was added to give additional detail to the 3D forms. The piece was then handsewn onto a fabric covered gallery-wrapped canvas.
