The stacked fabric sculpture technique used with this artwork consists of many pieces of fabric that have been cut in graduated sizes, which are then washed and dried to create frayed edges, and then those pieces are stacked on top of each other, skewered by wires, to form a solid fabric form. This piece uses brown flannel for the sculpture, with lighter brown flannel, gold crepe, black flannel, and a variety of roving for the added embellishment.
