Nuno Felt -
is the felt that occurs when silk or other loose-woven fabric pieces are placed on the surface of roving prior to felting. When this combination is felted, the fabric begins to felt into the roving. As the felting progresses, the roving draws up and causes the fabric to pucker so that it becomes very textural. The example in the photo is from the piece "Traversing the Microcosm".
