Several felted layers comprise this piece made from needle felted wool roving. The enitre felt piece was trimmed and hand sewn onto a stretched canvas that had been texturized with acrylic paint, modeling paste, and gel medium. The canvas is meant to look like a slab of stone, which serves as the backing for the piece, as well as the frame around the felting.
